David Fincher is a favorite director among film nerds everywhere, and after movies like Se7en, Fight Club, and Zodiac he deserves this attention. Yet, many people were puzzled about his choice of The Social Network as his next project. A tale chronicling the cut throat creation of the website Facebook. It didn’t sound very exciting, even if the story of Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin rivaled that of Bill Gates and Steve Jobs in the 80s.
However, the picture soon rounded up an impressive young cast with the likes of Jesse Eisenberg, Justin Timberlake, Andrew Garfield and Joe Mazzello. Not to mention the script has generated a considerable amount of positive buzz and David Fincher is a more than capable talent.
Well, now the first teaser has been released and while it’s only a minute long voice over job it manages to create a fairly ominous and dramatic tone for the picture. Consider me excited. Check out the teaser below.

That poster is excellent by the way. Maybe for “Your Poster Is Cool” we’ll do a special edition at the end of the year and critique all the best ones of the whole year. This one would be in that list.

The Pirates of Silicon Valley…’nuff said! Hahaha.
Fincher can make it into something good, I have no doubts.
