With the brilliance and large cult following associated with Edgar Wright’s Shaun of the Dead (2004), many casual movie goers might be under the impression that the Zombie-Comedy sub-genre died after the film. After all, the rarity and underground nature of the genre usually doesn’t even allow the films to hit the movie theatre, let alone make any money for their production companies. 2009’s Zombieland not only proves that the Zombie-Comedy is undead and well, but stronger than ever. At 5:45 in the morning, a box is delivered to Norma (Cameron Diaz) and Arthur Lewis (James Marsden) via a man named Mr. Steward (Frank Langella), with blood simple instructions.
