Tasteless

Tasteless | Freejack

...I don't even know what that means!

Back in 1992 when Freejack was released, it hyped the fact that Ronald Shusett, one of the people responsible for Alien, had written and was producing this “action packed” sci-fi thriller. That’s all it really has going for it, because the clunky pacing and the typical and repetitive sci-fi locations and ideas are what you are in store for.

So Bad It’s Good | Hard Rain

Director Mikael Salomon‘s Hard Rain is a masterpiece of over-stylized action garbage. Written by Graham Yost (Speed), the film aspires to be an entry into the ordinary man in extreme circumstances action genre. Die Hard Rain it isn’t. So Bad It’s Good: The Day After Tomorrow

You know the movies. The ones that are so over-the-top, so ridiculous, so unintentionally hilarious. The bad acting, the bad script, the bad special effects. Or is it your rapidly spreading ice that can easily be stopped by closed doors? Tis all of the above, for your awfulness delights me on many levels. This movie is the epitome of craptastic disaster flicks. It has pathos, “comedy”, tornadoes in LA, family conflict, and a wise homeless man with a dog (who of course doesn’t die). Director and writer Roland Emmerich destroys the world with obvious glee, throwing tidal waves and snowstorms at his characters with a vengeance. All of this adds up to unintentional comedic gold and a very happy Ms. Mack.
