The Filmdogs Podcast: In the Lounge with W, J, and J

Trailer Exam | Biutiful

Empireonline recently premiered the trailer for Alejandro González Iñárritu‘s newest film, and I must say that I am completely blown away. The film is entitled Biutiful, and stars Javier Bardem as a man involved with criminal activity as well as the feeling that death may be inside him. The trailer is a fantastic culmination of startling images and precisely cut music. If nothing else this trailer will certainly pique your interest and leave you wanting more. Top Five Ridley Scott Films

With Ridley Scott’s newest film Robin Hood opening this weekend, I decided to create a personal top five list of his films. I believe that Ridley Scott is a brilliant filmmaker and an impressive world builder. His presence can always be felt in his films through his visual style and iconic imagery. He usually tackles complicated stories with deep themes and meanings. At times his films falter and some could argue that he has had three late decade slumps (1989 – Black Rain, 1996/97 – White Squall and G.I. Jane, 2006 – A Good Year). When the Moon is Full… A Conversational Review of “The Wolfman” with Ms. Mack and Mr. Will


Ms. Mack: How did you like the movie?

Mr. Will: I liked it. I thought it was a good, cheesy, b movie. Lots of gore, lots of violence, good acting. I got to hear Anthony Hopkins say “Isn’t it glorious?” several times which was fun.

Ms. Mack: Why?
