So Bad It’s Good | Hard Rain

Director Mikael Salomon‘s Hard Rain is a masterpiece of over-stylized action garbage. Written by Graham Yost (Speed), the film aspires to be an entry into the ordinary man in extreme circumstances action genre. Die Hard Rain it isn’t. With Red opening this weekend, Bruce Willis is once again proving that being a middle aged bad ass is possible. For over two decades Willis has also shown that by bringing a substantial amount of his off screen persona to his characters, he can create iconic performances that film fans hold dear to their hearts. The past few years he has hit some rough patches with some really bad films (Cop Out, Surrogates, 16 Blocks, The Whole Ten Yards), but this list will have none of that.
