Filmdogs Video | “Star Wars Inception Edition”

Star Wars Inception Edition

As far as I’m concerned Christopher Nolan’s Inception is the movie of the year. It’s a rare breathtaking piece of summer action entertainment that treats it’s audience with respect, is filled with awe inspiring thrills, and packs an emotional punch. It’s no wonder the internet can’t stop taking about the movie. (It’s still a trending topic on twitter after nearly a month in release) It’s also inspired those with a lot of free time, like myself to create graphics, videos, and write theories about the film. So, we at here at Filmdogs have tried to bring you the best Inception goodies possible, even a ringtone of the musical kick in the picture.

However, it’s the phenomenon of the many video mashups that has really caught my attention. What do you get when you cross the now famous Inception trailer featuring Zach Hemsey’s famous “bruhmmm” notes with other movies like Bill and Ted or Toy Story 3?

Well, after seeing those attempts I thought, why not try to create an Inception mashup my myself? What film would I chose? The answer is easy for those that know anything about my geeky nature. Star Wars. And if you have half as good of a time watching the mashup as I did creating it, I’ll be over the moon…or space station. Read the rest of this entry »

Greatest Casting Rumor Ever | Mad Men’s Jon Hamm as Superman?

geek
Slang.
1. A person with a devotion to something in a way that places him or her outside the mainstream. This could be due to the intensity, depth, or subject of their interest.

2. a peculiar or otherwise dislikable person, esp. one who is perceived to be overly intellectual.

3. A carnival performer who performs sensationally morbid or disgusting acts, as biting off the head of a live chicken.

Mad Men is the best show on television. Maybe even the best of all time, and the character of enigmatic ad-man Donald Draper as played by actor Jon Hamm is classic. Draper is an embodiment of a certain type of American ideal, so who better to play the part of America’s first and most iconic superhero.

Geek Round Up| The Riddler in Batman 3, Thor and Captain America Posters, and Cult Art

???

A “reliable source” from website www.firstshowing.net has gotten it’s hands on a casting grid for Batman 3 indicating that The Riddler is the primary villain in the film. A casting grid is basically a chart for agents and studios to keep them abreast of what roles need to be cast in said film. The site is also claiming that the chart puts actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the top spot for the role. The casting could be feasible considering Levitt’s recent work with Nolan in Inception, and I’d be down with him playing the part as he’s a fantastic young actor. However, I’m still holding out hope that Nolan and his brother, Batman 3 screenwriter Jonathan Nolan, will go with a villain we haven’t seen before. This would be more in line with every statement all the creators have made regarding the 3rd film in the series. Read the rest of this entry »

Over the past ten years director Christopher Nolan has delivered more enthralling motion pictures to audiences than any other film director. His tomatometer proves it, each of his six films this past decade have scored a 75% or higher rating. Scene Stealer | “Ocean’s Eleven” Planning the Score

Only part of the amazing cast for "Ocean's Eleven."

While my cinematic heart was being filled with the glory that was Inception last night (expect a review after a second viewing) it was pointed out to me by Ms. Mack that at times she felt like she were watching Ocean’s Eleven. Which makes sense given that Inception is basically a heist film at it’s core. This feeling was especially prevalent when Cobb’s (Leonardo DiCaprio’s character) crew were planning their score.
