Bad Title, Good Movie | A Conversational Review of “Knight and Day” with Ms. Mack and Mr. Will
Mr. Will: So what did you think?
Ms. Mack: I liked it. The end. Do I need to say more than that?
Mr. Will: I think that would be good yes.
Ms. Mack: Okay…I thought it was funny. I think that Tom Cruise is a natural comedian. He looks like he’s having fun and he transitions from the funny guy to the Mission Impossible action guy pretty seamlessly. And when those two overlap it’s even better.
Mr. Will: I liked it too. I love Tom Cruise unapologetically and I think him and Cameron Diaz had good chemistry together.

2. a peculiar or otherwise dislikable person, esp. one who is perceived to be overly intellectual.
3. A carnival performer who performs sensationally morbid or disgusting acts, as biting off the head of a live chicken.
Geek Round Up is a Filmdogs column celebrating the best geeky filmic news. Basically anything that incites us geeks to push our glasses up the bridge of our nose, and lean closer to our computer screens with excitement. So, let’s do just that.
Brad Bird is one of my favorite directors. Period. His films The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, and Ratatouille transcend animation in such a way that the word “cartoon” never enters your mind. Now, it seems as if the director is finally taking the leap into the live action world. According to Vulture Bird is in final talks to helm the fourth installment in one of the most diverse franchises in existence. The Mission Impossible series.

Across the Pond | France’s: Le samouraï
When people think of foreign films they often simply pass them off as being too pretentious and experimental for their liking. Yet, one of the things I’ve discovered about films from oversees is how their main influence is often American. Which makes sense when you think about it, Hollywood is in the U.S. after all.
