Behold the first Filmdogs DVD Commentary!!! What is a Filmdogs DVD Commentary you might ask? Well, It’s an audio track in which our normal Filmdogs Podcasting crew provides you with our semi-informative, semi-funny, and semi-stupid thoughts on the entirety a chosen feature film. It’s just like any normal commentary track you might find any number of DVDs in your collection, except without the star power. So, what better way to start off this new experiment here at the site than by busting out our mics to chat up one of the biggest movie disasters of 2010, the DC Comics adaptation Jonah Hex.

Short films are underrated and if Pixar has taught us anything its that shorts in front of features can be both profitable for studios and fun for audiences. Well, in an effort to expose movie-goers to lesser known characters of the now Disney owned Marvel universe the studio is planning to produce 10 minute films highlighting minor heroes. For a geek who doesn’t know much about the Marvel world I think is a great idea that doesn’t require much risk for the stuido. Read the rest of this entry »
Making best/worst of lists every year is something I always look forward to, yet given the fact that we’re new on the critical scene here at Filmdogs we don’t really get the chance to see all the “Awards Pictures” till closer to Oscar time. So our best of lists won’t debut until around that time, when we’ve had a chance to see a few more of the flicks released in 2010. However, I don’t expect some of those unseen films like The Kings Speech and Blue Valentine ending up on the list below based upon their glowing reviews. It’s my Worst Films of 2010, and some of the choices may surprise you…
