Score Your Week | Lost Season 1
At the beginning of the week here at Filmdogs, a member of the pack will be offering a recommendation for a soundtrack to help you speed up those never ending work days and (if possible) inspire you.
One of my most fulfilling cinematic moments of 2010 was watching the bone white text appear one last time at the end of my favorite show, LOST. It was an astonishing moment for me to look back at six years with these characters and their journey, and finally find closure. Luckily I will be able to relive what I could consider to be my favorite film of 2010 once again, as the final season hits dvd this Tuesday. In honor of this fantastic week I will be spotlighting one of the most important characters of Lost, Michael Giacchino’s music. Giacchino has produced some of the best and most interesting scores of late including Star Trek, Fringe, The Incredibles, and his oscar winning score for Up, but it is with Lost that he really made his mark. From screeching horns to piano ballads, Giacchino helped usher along every emotion that the show had to offer.
Jack Ryan Gets a “Lost” Director
It was announced sometime ago that Chris Pine, aka Captain Kirk version 2, was going to play Tom Clancy‘s famous CIA analyst Jack Ryan. I felt that this was a definite step in the right direction especially after the colossal creative failure that was The Sum of All Fears. Although the lead actor was locked, Paramount had not yet found a director to tackle the fifth installment until now. According to Vulture, Jack Bender is the front runner for the position and I happen to think this is a fantastic choice. Jack Bender is primarily known for his work as a director on Lost and he has directed some of the most iconic episodes of the show, including the series finale. Continue reading to find out the plot and title of the film.
Lostadoodle | The End
Lost Week here at Filmdogs may have come and gone, but the discussion of the Series Finale has just begun. In this final Lostadoodle we dissect the meaning of the finale, and talk about how much Lost has meant to us over the past six years. In the words of Desmond “We’ll see you in another life, brotha.”
The following 20 min audio conversation is between Filmdogs writer/podcast host Mr. Jason and myself Mr. Will. Click the word Lostadoodle below to play the file. I hope you enjoy.

Lost Week | Favorite Moments
The most epic TV series ever has inspired the most epic post I’ve ever put together. I couldn’t think of a better way to show my appreciation for Lost than to showcase some of my favorite moment’s from the series. Now, most of these aren’t the typical “shocking” Lost cliffhangers. They are the scenes that I’ve kept coming back to over the years because they feature the characters I’ve come to love in their most emotional and relieving moments. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I do.
