From THR comes a minute of footage from the upcoming Back to the Future Blu-Ray that features the original Marty McFly, actor Eric Stoltz in action. In the behind the scenes clip director Robert Zemeckis, producer Bob Gale, and Steven Speilberg discuss how they shot five weeks with Stoltz before realizing he didn’t quite fit the tone of the film. I can’t imagine how hard having to make that decision must have been for everyone involved, especially Stoltz. My heart goes out him after seeing this. Read the rest of this entry »

Back to the Future Coming Soon to Blu-Ray!!
One more holy trilogy finally makes it’s way to the beautiful high-def format. To mark the 25th anniversary of the classic film Universal is releasing the box set on Blu-ray October 26th with special features that didn’t make it onto the last edition. Producer Bob Gale praised the quality of the transfers saying:
They actually look better than they did in the theater because of the incredible job that was done on dirt clean-up. And the film grain is preserved, so they still look like movies should look.
