Weekly Comic Update

Okay, okay. So, maybe some of you are wondering “where’s Lethal Liz this week”? Most of you are going, “Lethal Liz, huh, wha?”

Regardless…here’s the breakdown: Lethal Liz as a whole isn’t ready. That’s the long and the short of it. I thought I was ready to unveil it, but I just don’t have the time in a week to do justice to each page like I want. Therefore, Lethal Liz is going back to the drawing board.

However, we will be continuing with a weekly comic and possibly, a daily comic. Monday – Friday that is, you can’t expect me to work weekends. Sorry, just ain’t gonna happen. The new comic will be more like a sitcom and be open to experimentation, rather than be a controlled serialized story like Lethal Liz. It will allow for guest writers to play with the material and more than likely, be better for Filmdogs in general.

Either over the weekend or, early next week, expect to have a guest weekly comic from a friend of mine, Joe Hunter. Stay tuned!

Raoul Makes a Movie

Some of you are familiar with Raoul. He’s based on my cat, Beelzebub (or Bubba for short) and was featured in two of my short lived webcomics: Sex Demon Bag and Far From It. Well, people just can’t seem to get enough of the talking grey pillow, so I’m bringing him out for the weekly comic here at Filmdogs.

What?! What about Lethal Liz?

Hold your horses. Lethal Liz is going to go forward as a print comic. I’m planning on drawing it up, self-publishing a handful of books and trying to get ‘er published. I want THAT story to be read outside of typical webcomic audiences which almost ALWAYS take years of daily strips to gain notoriety. I’d rather shop it around and maybe pick up a publisher.

Raoul however…is perfect for a weekly strip. He’s a dope (like me) and a nerd, a jerk and likes movies, video games and lots of other geeky stuff. He’ll fit in perfectly here at Filmdogs.

Expect the first strip to be launching within the next couple weeks.

Lethal Liz and the Star Pirates of Tomorrow

Our weekly comic is going to be the serialization of Lethal Liz and the Star Pirates of Tomorrow. It’s a sci-fi that takes place in the 23rd century and features Alexis Elizabeth Argento or better known as Lethal Liz.

I’ve decided to do the art style in a Batman: The Animated Series kind of vibe. A less is more streamlined style.

The script is written and the character designs are being fleshed out as well as every other aspect of the comic. I would like to plan on releasing page 1 in March. I’ll be releasing some more information soon. There’ll be a development blog site to keep track of what’s going on with the comic. Every page will be featured on this site though, never fear.

Stay tuned!
